The Davenport Fire Department officially christened 'Big Red', a new rescue boat equipped with cutting-edge tech & advanced firefighting capabilities this afternoon. Fire Chief Jeff Vanderwiere said the vessel is built to improve rescue efforts on the river.

IHMVCU announced the 2026 Cash for Class winners by awarding $30,000 to 13 student members (in partnership with Dream Educational Foundation) to support their education. The announcement came today.
