  • Hand in Hand will host its 17th Annual Chili Cook-Off (presented by Quad City Bank & Trust) from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Fair Center in west Davenport, featuring over 15 chili varieties, silent auction items, raffles, and kids’ activities to support inclusive community programs.  Quad Cities Business Journal
  • PR Network has revived its local group with a calendar of future events including monthly lunches at Duck Creek Plaza and workshops covering topics from AI to economic development.   • EV owners in Davenport should know that cold weather can cut battery range by about a quarter to a third, so they need to adjust charging & plan routes with charging stations today as temperatures drop across the region.  KWQC

  • A new treatment for addictions will be the focus of Vera French's mental health conference on May 8 at the Waterfront Convention Center (Bettendorf). Dr. Nzinga Harrison, a psychiatrist and author of Un-Addiction, will share a method that lets patients choose their own treatment paths.  KWQC
