- ➤ The Mississippi Spoon Gallery at 902 East River Drive earned a Guinness record for holding over 38,000 spoons that honor local and national history. Owner Camellia Pohl built the collection over 36 years and opened the museum in August 2023 to welcome visitors. KWQC

- ➤ The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities announced virtual SKYWARN Storm Spotter Training for 2026 that will offer free two-hour sessions for ages 10 and up. Pre-registration is required for the scheduled classes. KWQC

- ➤ Iowa superintendents say the Senate approved a bill to raise public school funding by 1.75 percent, which falls short of district needs and will be reviewed in the House (leaders expected a 2 percent boost). KWQC

- ➤ The Quad-City Times will continue as the title sponsor for the Bix 7 in Davenport under a new 10-year deal, officials said. The race will keep its current name for the next decade. KWQC
- ➤ Modern Woodmen Park has received its fourth consecutive nomination for Best Minor League Ballpark from USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards — fans can vote online until March 16 to help defend its title. KWQC
