- ➤ Since Oct. 1, The Third Place QC in Rock Island has served 80-100 daily by offering coffee, clothing & hygiene supplies along with connections to housing services for people experiencing homelessness. Leaders say its steady support is already easing access to local services. KWQC

- ➤ Arconic is planning to build a $175 million aluminum casting complex at its Davenport Works plant in Riverdale, Bettendorf + the project will create 40 new jobs and boost ingot production from recycled aluminum. - ➤ The YMCA after-school program in Davenport will close in July after a 25-year partnership with the school ended last October, leaving parents scrambling for alternative childcare. The YMCA and school district are connecting families with available resources & programs. KWQC

- ➤ AFSP Iowa is partnering with Davenport-based Russell to launch the first annual Construction Hike for Hope on Saturday, June 6 in Bettendorf, an event designed to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention targeted at construction workers and their families, with funds supporting education, advocacy + survivor support.
