- ➤ KWQC offers many ways to get severe weather alerts via its mobile app that delivers live radar and streaming along with weather radios for direct updates, while meteorologist Kyle Kiel discusses outdoor sirens today and the Weather Wise show airs tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. on the KWQC+ app. KWQC
- ➤ The Iowa DNR will begin prescribed burns on wildlife management areas this spring to improve habitat and control invasive species (burns occur from mid-morning to late afternoon between mid-March and mid-May) in several counties. KWQC

- ➤ Davenport Police Chief Jeff Bladel retired yesterday after a 31-year career with the department — he reflected on changes in policing and his decision to step aside. The Quad City Times
- ➤ Bettendorf leaders are debating plans for Forest Grove Park (a nearly 100-acre parcel near the TBK Bank Sports Complex) and are considering indoor event venues, kayak rentals and trails as potential new features. The Dispatch Argus
- ➤ Rock Island Arsenal officials announced that two unused structures (Building 312, a former golf clubhouse, and Structure 57, a stone bridge near the driving range) will be demolished because they are unsafe and too costly to repair. The demolition is planned to proceed soon. KWQC
