- ➤ Local restaurants will kick off QC Restaurant Week from Monday, April 6 to Sunday, April 12 — a weeklong event celebrating the local food scene and inviting residents to enjoy diverse dining experiences. - ➤ DISH Network customers risk losing access to local channel KWQC at 6 p.m. today if a renewal agreement is not reached soon, which would take NBC shows and local news off the service and push viewers to switch providers or use an antenna. KWQC

- ➤ Augustana College hosted its annual Shades of Beauty event in honor of International Women’s Day, where four local women shared their experiences in business, leadership, and public service. The event celebrated diverse definitions of success and community spirit. KWQC
- ➤ Families and friends gathered on Sunday at QC Hindu Temple (in Rock Island) to celebrate Holi with traditional dancing, music, food and colorful powder that marked winter’s end and spring’s start; about 300 people attended the annual event since 2007. KWQC

- ➤ AAA data shows that Iowa pump prices have jumped by about 23% in the past month, with some stations charging over $3 per gallon. The rise comes as shipping stops through the Strait of Hormuz pushed oil prices above $100 a barrel. KWQC
