- ➤ Iowa American Water invested more than $40 million in 2024 to upgrade its water and wastewater systems in Davenport, including work on water mains and treatment plants (repairs to critical equipment) to ensure reliable service for its 225,000 customers. Quad Cities Business Journal

- ➤ Rock Island’s Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse is presenting the family comedy How I Became A Pirate from March 25 through April 19 with tickets costing $15. The schedule includes morning shows at 10 a.m. after doors open at 9:30 a.m. and afternoon shows at 1 p.m. after doors open at 12:30 p.m., with performances today included. - ➤ Scott County officials presented a report showing that the courthouse and administrative building are nearly full and recommended moving the Treasurer's Office general store to Paul Revere Square while shifting some Health and Human Services staff to free up space. The report also advises relocating custodial staff to the former juvenile detention center— a measure set to give the county more room for future needs. The Dispatch Argus
- ➤ Transportation leaders from the Quad Cities will gather at the QCBJ’s Transportation & Infrastructure Seminar on Tuesday, April 8 at Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport to discuss new and ongoing capital projects. Local and state officials will share updates as public works directors join a panel discussion and then network at a sponsored reception — with support from Valley Construction, John Deere and Shive Hattery Architecture-Engineering.
