- ➤ Davenport schools will launch the new OpenGate system next week to screen students and visitors for weapons and dangerous items to boost school security. The Dispatch Argus
- ➤ School districts in the Iowa Quad-Cities began public hearings to propose tax levy rates for fiscal year 2026 as they work to meet the state funding deadline. Davenport schools held their hearing on Monday — community member Wendy Peterson questioned the affordability of the proposed increase — while other districts adjusted their rates. The Dispatch Argus
- ➤ Starting in June, Family Resources will staff a licensed mental health therapist in Hand in Hand's preschool classrooms for 3 to 5-year-olds—launching a pilot mental health program in early education. The Quad City Times
