John Deere Classic started the 32nd season of Birdies for Charity to raise millions for about 500 local and regional charities while covering all administrative fees.

The program will take new nonprofit groups within 125 miles of Silvis until May 30 and offer bonus funds plus a Lexus lease prize for the correct birdie guess — a move that boosts help for local causes.

Andrew Lehman (director of the John Deere Classic) said on Monday that Birdies for Charity (its 32nd season) began its giving by transforming the tournament into a philanthropic force within the community.
