- ➤ The Iowa Association of Business and Industry has launched a contest to name the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Iowa, with public voting through Tuesday, Apr. 15. - ➤ A busy severe weather season continues as Illinois reported 54 tornadoes through April 8 while Iowa confirmed six, with a widespread outbreak on April 2 prompting tornado warnings in every county in the TV6 area (March brought 80 severe weather reports from eastern Iowa and western Illinois).
