- ➤ QC Restaurant Week is back and is running until April 13, with over 80 local businesses offering diverse dining options — organizers expect the event to highlight the region’s authentic culinary experience. OurQuadCities
- ➤ Safer Foundation will hold its 20th annual Safer Sacks fundraiser on Thursday, April 24 and aims to sell 2,250 sack lunches to support people impacted by the legal system. Lunches are priced at $9 for pickup and $10 for delivery, include ham, turkey, and cheese croissant-wich, chips, a cookie, fruit, condiments and a napkin, and must be ordered by Friday, April 18 (pickup is at JB Young Opportunity Center, 1702 N. - ➤ A Davenport woman was arrested for forgery and theft after stealing two checks from a victim's checkbook and forging the signature to cash one check at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union on March 6—she was released on her own recognizance and will have a preliminary hearing on April 29. - ➤ Rock Island police arrested Butch E. Roberson (28) in connection with the homicide of 19-year-old Alexis Roelandt found in a motel room and later extradited him from Iowa (charged with first-degree murder and aggravated domestic battery). KWQC
