EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, Apr. 18, Midwest Technical Institute hosted its high school welding competition at its Moline campus (a local technical hub) where fifteen students used blueprints to create metal pieces. - ➤ Iowa Quad-Cities school districts are revising next year’s budgets after a 2% increase in supplemental state aid. Officials said final proposals will be shared with the public soon. The Dispatch Argus

- ➤ I-80 bridge washing between Rapids City + LeClaire begins today and will require one lane in each direction from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night for maintenance work. The Dispatch Argus
- ➤ Davenport drivers can check the city website for mobile speed cabinets through April 27 (900 West Central Park, 2800 Division, 2100 Marquette, 4600 Eastern) and the speed van will stop at 1500 East Locust Monday, 5700 Division Tuesday, 2800 Jersey Ridge Wednesday, 5500 Pine Thursday, and 700 West 53rd Friday.
