CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 35-year-old Davenport man named Samuel Hickman was arrested on April 20 after Bettendorf Police said he assaulted an officer during a traffic stop for a broken license plate light—he resisted arrest by placing his hand on an officer’s throat and now faces charges including felony assault and drug-related offenses along with outstanding warrants. - ➤ Davenport North High School senior Cohen Callaway was awarded the Kathryn Bell Tate Scholarship—a $20,000 prize—by the Davenport Schools Foundation and will attend the University of Minnesota to double major in math and computer science after graduating.
