- ➤ Humane World for Animals released its annual report listing five Iowa breeders among 100 problematic puppy mills nationwide, noting repeated inspection violations at William Davenport’s facility in Afton for issues like poor sanitation and missing records. - ➤ Davenport-based newspaper publisher Lee Enterprises has named Nathan Bekke as president and CEO and Josh Rinehults as vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer after serving as interim leaders since February.
