- ➤ Six manufacturers across the Quad Cities will invest in new technology with grants from Iowa’s FY 2025 Manufacturing 4.0 Technology Investment Program—awards totaling over $315,000 to local companies will help leverage about $5.5 million in projects—as part of a state effort to boost productivity. - ➤ The Alternating Currents Festival will run August 14th to 17th as it fills Downtown Davenport, Rock Island, and Bettendorf with music, comedy, film, and art at over 40 venues. - ➤ Davenport is ending its AmeriCorps program because federal funding was cut—Volunteer Iowa notified city officials on April 25 to close all local grant programs within 14 days, affecting 22 members and several community services.
