- ➤ The 65th Honor Flight of the Quad Cities returned home Wednesday evening after transporting 80 veterans to Washington, D.C. for a day of remembrance, including 102-year-old Ted Albert who recalled his WWII service. KWQC
- ➤ The Arc of the Quad Cities is hosting a two-week food drive to honor Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy by collecting nonperishable items at local sites like Hy-Vee stores and libraries. The drive will end on May 20 and features appearances by the Quad City Steamwheelers next week. KWQC
- ➤ Farmer Gene Tinker plans to donate his Manchester farm as a starter farm for new local farmers — a move meant to preserve his family legacy. The process is ongoing and aims to give young farmers a chance to learn and grow. KWQC
