- ➤ The Quad Cities Bicycle Club will sponsor the Ride of Silence on May 21 to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured on public roads. The ride will start at 6 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. at Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island — all riders must wear helmets, follow safety rules, and remain silent during the ride. - ➤ Royal Neighbors of America celebrated its 130th anniversary on May 18 in Rock Island—drawing over 100 people—while former Rock Island Mayor Mike Thoms issued his final proclamation praising the company for awarding $44 million in grants, scholarships and service in 2024. The Quad City Times

- ➤ After a stolen Kia sparked a chase on Monday that injured an officer and led to an 18-year-old's arrest in Rock Island, Davenport police located a 16-year-old at a home in the 1900 block of Dixwell Street (he was flagged for an escape warrant) and gathered evidence from the scene. KWQC

- ➤ The Adler Theatre in Davenport has unveiled its Broadway at the Adler Theatre season lineup for 2025—2026: the Addams Family on Oct. 16, Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol on Dec. 7, Mrs. Doubtfire on Dec. 17, Clue Live On Stage! on April 1, Beetlejuice on April 28—30, and Riverdance 30—The New Generation on June 3; on-sale ticket dates will be announced later.
