- ➤ On Tuesday afternoon, 60 soldiers from Delta Company held an emotional send-off at Davenport Armory as family members and community supporters hugged them before they boarded buses for deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Davenport Police escorted the buses at 6:30 p.m.—a step that preceded a 21-day training in Louisiana to gear up the troops for the mission. KWQC

- ➤ Adriana Blake testified in Scott County Court on Wednesday in her murder case—she admitted taking a DVR from Brian Goodwin’s home on Devon Braet’s direction and said Braet controlled her cell phone—and said she was too afraid to call police about the January fire deaths of Goodwin and Amy Smith.
