Moline Regional Community Foundation awarded $2,500 checks to three nonprofits when Quad-Cities students presented them at the Junior Achievement Inspirational Center in Moline & the awards honor local service efforts.

Animal ambassadors from Incredible Bats will bring their interactive Animals Around the World presentation to LeClaire Community Library on Wednesday, June 11 at 6:00 p.m. — the event will let families see sugar gliders, a fennec fox, a hedgehog, snakes, and lizards up close.

Bettendorf Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Wallace’s Garden Center—located at 2605 Devils Glen Road in Bettendorf—on Saturday afternoon and contained the blaze with regional aid as heavy black smoke was seen across the Quad Cities and traffic detours were set up.
