  • CASI announced on June 4 that it will close Jane’s Place Adult Day Services and end its community-based senior advocacy program due to ongoing budget shortfalls — a decision that follows reduced funding from local government and shifts the center’s focus to member-based activity programs for seniors.  Quad Cities Business Journal

  • American Pickers’ star Danielle Colby is opening a museum in downtown Davenport to highlight the history of burlesque—showcasing treasures from her travels—and it will open on June 21 at 6 p.m. at 322 Brady Street.  KWQC

  • Davenport mayor Mike Matson gave his final State of the City Address on Thursday and said he will not run for re-election, noting a 66 percent drop in shots fired and nearly one billion dollars invested in north Davenport to help set up future growth — he said working together is key to the city's bright future.  OurQuadCities

  • PGA Tour winners Max Homa, Jason Day, and Sungjae Im have committed to play in next month's John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis.
