Early this morning, an apartment fire activated sprinklers that flooded parts of The Golden Goat Barbers and helped the shop avoid major losses.

Crews reopened one lane on East Locust Street between Marlo and Pineacre by 7 a.m. today, and they plan to open the full road by June 22 if the weather holds.

Runners can join the Iowa American Water Bix @ 6 training run for the Quad-City Times Bix 7 race on Thursday at 6 p.m. at 5th and Pershing Streets in Davenport—participants can sign up online, register in person, or volunteer to receive a free event t-shirt.
