- ➤ A state criminalist told jurors Wednesday — in a case involving a 2024 Davenport double homicide — that the guns recovered after Devon Braet’s arrest were not conclusively matched to the crime. The Quad City Times

- ➤ The Davenport Community School District announced on June 23 that Alec Clark is set to become principal of Truman Elementary for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year pending board approval. - ➤ LifeServe Blood Center and MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center have scheduled two blood drives in July for the Davenport community—one on July 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the hospital lobby on E. Rusholme St. and another on July 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The River’s Edge Conference Room on West River Drive.
