- ➤ Devon Braet was sentenced to life in prison for the 2024 murder of Brian Goodwin at a Davenport home — he was found not guilty of killing Amy Smith, leaving families still mourning their loss. The Quad City Times

- ➤ Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse will show the musical Mary Poppins through Sept. 6 with performances on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m., Sunday shows at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday matinees at 1:15 p.m., + a special matinee on Saturday, July 26. - ➤ Fresh Films began filming its feature film 'Six More Weeks' on July 10 and will shoot key scenes in Rock Island's Arts Alley on July 20 and 21 (a family-friendly production) to offer hands-on training for more than 100 student filmmakers.
