- ➤ QC Freedom Crawlers will team up with Quad City Animal Welfare Center to fill the jeeps with needed supplies from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 26 at Farm & Fleet (5900 John Deere Road, Moline). - ➤ A RAGBRAI rider died Monday during the ride and RAGBRAI director Anne Lawrie said investigators from the Iowa State Patrol and Minnesota State Patrol have been contacted though no additional details are available. KWQC
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The Hoffmann Family of Companies, a Florida-based equity firm, has submitted a letter to support recapitalizing Davenport’s Lee Enterprises by proposing a $25 million investment in common equity and a matching $25 million rights offering — the firm now owns a 9.7% stake and is the second largest shareholder behind Quint Digital Limited.
