The Davenport Police Association will host its 10th annual Cops & Cones Ice Cream Social from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug.

12 at Vander Veer Botanical Park, inviting neighbors to meet officers and enjoy ice cream.

On April 3, 2025, Davenport police arrested a man who cashed three forged checks at Time Bank branches in Davenport and Bettendorf for a total of $7,584.24; he now faces three felony forgery charges and one felony second-degree theft charge and is held on a $5,000 bond (according to arrest affidavits).
