- ➤ Wrong-way drivers caused a severe five-car crash on I-80 near West Branch on Sunday that left three people with life-threatening injuries and a near miss on the I-74 Bridge on Monday that police are investigating + officials say these incidents are very rare yet extremely dangerous. KWQC
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Keep Pushing Skate Shop, a key hangout for Quad-Cities skateboarders, will close Saturday, Aug. 30 because slim profit margins made it hard for owner Jonathan Marler to support his family. Since opening in June 2021, the shop sold over 2,500 boards and experienced a 16% drop in sales amid rising costs—factors that led to its closure. The Quad City Times

- ➤ Christine Gradert from the Robert Young Center explained that easing school anxiety starts with watching for changes in behavior, ensuring kids have needed school supplies, and even visiting the school ahead of time.
