Brad Martell, who has spent 46 years with YMCAs nationwide, will retire as president/CEO on Dec.

31 from the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley in Davenport. Since taking the role in 2013, he drove growth through increased membership to nearly 53,000 & the addition of new facilities as the board now looks for his successor.

Deere announced layoffs of over 230 workers at three Midwest facilities—two in the Quad Cities—due to falling farm orders and low commodity prices.
