- ➤ Today, the Quad City Air Show opens at Davenport Municipal Airport at 8 a.m.—featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and other displays until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday; the Over The Edge fundraiser at Hotel Blackhawk and the free Vettes on the River event in LeClaire also kick off today while BMX races and additional community celebrations continue through the weekend. - ➤ The Milan Harvest Festival will take place from Thursday, Aug. 28 to Monday, Sept. 1 at Camden Park in Milan with new attractions including carnival rides, food vendors, disc golf, bingo, live music and a high school marching band competition awarding $2,500 per school with an extra $2,000 for the winner. The festival will also feature a first-ever drone light show on Saturday night—displaying hundreds of illuminated drones—and a fireworks display on Sunday evening. Quad Cities Business Journal

- ➤ At a vigil on the 29th anniversary of Trudy Appleby's disappearance held at Bass Street Landing in Moline, about 230 people gathered to hear that suspect Jamison Fisher was indicted on three counts of first-degree murder and one count of concealing a homicidal death+ family and law enforcement urged witnesses to come forward.
