  • Safer Foundation’s Employment Services program office has moved to a new location at 2235 Third Ave., Rock Island because its former building was bought by the city for riverfront development. An open house will be held from 4–6 p.m. on Sept. 11 (free entry) to provide networking and updates for community partners and program stakeholders.  Quad Cities Business Journal

  • APS, based in downtown Davenport, launched its Ultra Performance at Idle series—next-generation alternators offering increased output at both low and high RPM for faster battery charging—designed for commercial and fleet vehicles. CRIME NEWS

  • Davenport police closed Lily Massage at 2164 W. Kimberly Road and arrested 48-year-old Lihua Chen on charges of ongoing criminal conduct— a Class B felony— as well as pimping, pandering, and conspiracy after a tip on June 26 led to an investigation; she is held without bond in Scott County Jail.  The Quad City Times
  • Davenport police closed Lily Massage at 2164 W. Kimberly Road—and arrested its alleged manager Lihua Chen, who faces charges of ongoing criminal conduct, pimping, pandering and conspiracy to commit a nonforcible felony and is held in Scott County Jail without bond.  The Dispatch Argus
