One Eighty announced today that Christopher Love has been named its new executive director+ he will lead the organization to expand its community programs.
🎓 Education
A scholarship created by Don and Debra Kincaid in memory of Pleasant Valley grad Connor Kincaid (who died in a motorcycle crash in 2017) raised another $5,000 to help local students pursue trades and service careers, and the next fundraiser is planned for next June.
🏛️ Government
Benjamin Leischner, executive director of Quad Cities International Airport, was elected to the Board of Directors of Airports Council International + North America, a trade association guiding airport priorities.
He said his new role will boost regional airport influence and drive strategies that support economic growth in the Quad Cities.
🏥 Health
City, school, and health officials met at Duck Creek Park Monday morning to launch a safety campaign for e-bikes and scooters as rider use rises among kids and others.
They stressed basic rules — ride on the right — to help prevent accidents.
