  • Milan entrepreneur Josh O'Dell founded The Growth Project of the Quad Cities to help young adults overcome employment barriers by offering job placement, mentorship, and classes on professionalism and resume building.   • The second annual QC Veterans Festival was held Saturday at LeClaire Park in Davenport and featured races, vendors, live music — and crafts demonstrations for veterans.  The Dispatch Argus

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Connor Kincaid, known as the Gentle Giant, died in a 2017 motorcycle crash and is honored by a trade-focused scholarship for students planning careers in the trades. On Tuesday, his father Don Kincaid and local supporter Chuck Ripley presented a check for over $4,000 — funds managed by the Quad Cities Community Foundation to continue his legacy.  The Quad City Times
