- ➤ Davenport’s Centennial Park hosted a vigil Saturday evening where community members gathered to honor lives lost to violence across the U.S.—a small group of protesters was also present before the event ended at 7:00 p.m. KWQC

- ➤ Holden Conner, a 24-year-old Davenport North grad, will open Trial Run QC, a buy/sell/trade store for high-end sneakers and vintage clothing outside the food court at NorthPark Mall on Oct.4 to serve local buyers. Lee and Todd Pirck attended a NAACP forum hosted by Davenport Metrocom NAACP where they discussed plans for economic growth, affordable housing and improved city services.
