Horton received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Davenport Metrocom NAACP on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Rogalski Center in Davenport — honoring his decades of service as both an educator and a pastor. - ➤ Sept. 28 business news showed the Quad Cities Chamber joined a national coalition to back federal research funding while Mel Foster Co. School of Real Estate announced in-person pre-license courses at its Davenport Training & Education office—courses start in mid-October and November with registration ending Oct. 14. YWCA Quad Cities joined a national network to support local families and Hand in Hand honored Jennifer Chastain with the Patriot Award—recognizing her strong support for National Guard members.
