- ➤ The annual Davenport Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Iowa took place Saturday in downtown Davenport and saw record numbers join and donate money to support Special Olympics athletes. Hosted by the Law Enforcement Torch Run and held for more than 15 years, the event raised over $5,000 to help athletes compete. KWQC
- ➤ The 12th Annual Fire Muster was held Sunday in the Village of East Davenport to mark the start of Fire Prevention Week—families and children learned fire safety with instructions on calling 911 and finding emergency exits while a fire engine parade passed through Davenport and East Davenport.
