  • Organizers for next year’s Mississippi Valley Fair announced that single-day concert tickets now available+include fair admission and feature a lineup with Brad Paisley on Aug. 4, Keith Urban on Aug. 5, Jessie Murph on Aug. 6, Tucker Wetmore on Aug. 7, and Craig Morgan with Neal McCoy on Aug. 9 while the Aug. 8 headliner is still to be announced. Tickets will go on sale Nov. 3+on the MVF website.  KWQC
  • More than 300 Quad Citians attended Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities’ Build a Dream Fundraiser at Bally’s Quad Cities Casino on Oct. 17 where over $75,000 was raised to support homeownership — the event honored former CEO Kristi Crafton with a lifetime achievement award and celebrated new homeowner Afi Chaold. The fundraiser also featured live and silent auctions and announced a surprise donation in memory of founding member Wes Whiteside to fully fund a Habitat build in 2026.  Quad Cities Business Journal

  • Quad-Cities advertising agency TAG won two Davey Awards—silver medals in the General Tourism category—for its innovative websites for Visit Quad Cities and Experience Galesburg, with the awards announced last week in New York City by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Inspectors began checking the Interstate 80 Mississippi River Bridge Monday on the westbound lanes and will inspect the eastbound lanes from Wednesday until Friday. One lane remains open at all times — motorists should expect delays.  KWQC
  • Scott County Sheriff’s Office reported that K-9 Denali (a valued officer) died from an illness, leaving handler Sgt. Ahrens and the team grieving the sudden loss.  KWQC
