- ➤ Davenport held a ribbon cutting for its new inclusive playground at Emeis Park on November 7—designed to offer safe play for all children. The Dispatch Argus
- ➤ King’s Harvest Animal Shelter in Davenport said pet surrender calls have increased from two to three a day to five to ten as families struggle with the federal shutdown and frozen SNAP benefits—forcing many to give up their pets. The shelter will host a pet food giveaway on Nov 14 from 2 to 3 p.m. at King’s Harvest Ministries and is asking for donations to support those in need. KWQC
- ➤ The Blessing Tree returns to Downtown Bettendorf for its 27th year—offering a way for locals to honor loved ones during the holiday season. The 32‑foot tree stands at Be the Light pocket park between Grant and State streets and will be lit during a ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 6–7 p.m., with funds raised staying local to support individuals facing cancer. - ➤ Quad City Arts will present the Festival of Trees from Nov. 22 through 30 at the River Center—celebrating 40 years with 150 designer trees, new areas like Quilt Village, the Petite Forest and a High School Art Exhibit that support local arts programs. The holiday parade will air on KWQC-TV6 at 10 a.m. on Nov. 22 and feature giant helium balloons, floats and local performers. KWQC
- ➤ White Christmas returns to Circa ‘21 Dinner and Playhouse this holiday season with performances running through Dec. 28—shows take place on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and include a Wednesday matinee. KWQC

- ➤ The Quad Cities Fall Success Fair will be held Thursday, Nov. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Rock Island Holiday Inn—linking veterans, job seekers, and transitioning military personnel with employers, training programs, and community resources. Quad Cities Business Journal
