  • Iowa ethics board clears Scott County Sheriff Tim Lane of accusations of misusing a squad car for campaign purposes during a Halloween parade, a decision supported by the Iowa Sheriff’s Association.  KWQC
  • Scott County finalized the 2024 election results, adding about 60 ballots from provisional and military votes, without significantly changing close race outcomes, and Maria Bribriesco was sworn in as Scott County Supervisor.  The Quad City Times
  • Davenport City Council passed a rent abatement ordinance to encourage landlord compliance and protect tenants from involuntary displacement by allowing temporary non-payment of rent until housing violations are corrected.  The Dispatch Argus
