Four Raise the Bar members—Michelle Bruty, Eric Engels, Brian Hanssen and Jessica Witters—took their oaths on November 4 after winning the election, and a teachers union head raised concerns about their entry into the Bettendorf School Board.

Construction has started on a new pedestrian bridge that will cross the railroad tracks at downtown Davenport's future riverfront park — a 10-acre project now under construction to boost park access.

The bridge will help connect residents to the new park as work continues downtown.
