- ➤ As the Quad Cities prepare for their first snowfall, some homeless people will face harsh street conditions. The Third Place QC has provided winter gear—blankets, coats, and sleeping bags—to assist those with few shelter beds available. KWQC
- ➤ On November 27, Mr. Thanksgiving—Bob Vogelbaugh—and his volunteers served hundreds of free Thanksgiving meals at Mercado on Fifth for the Quad-Cities community. This 56th annual event supported local residents and kept a long-standing tradition alive. The Dispatch Argus

- ➤ Public works crews in the Quad Cities treated roads with salt and water brine Friday to prepare for a heavy winter storm that is predicted to bring eight inches to over one foot of snow. Crews will run around the clock operations tonight—clearing main and hill routes first as officials warn motorists to limit travel. KWQC

- ➤ Plumbers in Davenport warned that the day after Thanksgiving—dubbed Brown Friday—was the busiest for clogged drains as extra guests and heavy cooking led to blockages. Bryan Parks of Northwest Plumbing said homeowners should have tossed grease and avoided flushable wipes to keep drains clear. KWQC
