- ➤ Downtown events keep small businesses bright this holiday season as local organizers urge residents to shop local and participate in ornament hunts, cookie crawls & the Holiday Display Challenge. - ➤ A Davenport family in the west end is hosting a holiday display (with over 120 inflatables) to collect Legos for children in Iowa City hospitals until year’s end and will donate the toys after Christmas. KWQC
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Iowa State Patrol urges drivers to buckle up, put phones down and slow down while checking Iowa 511 for road conditions as reports show most winter crashes occur with as little as 2 inches of snow (81 crashes were noted between noon on Saturday and noon on Sunday). KWQC
