- ➤ Bears Care donated $25,000 to River Bend Food Bank which was matched by the Quad Cities Community Foundation Hunger Relief Fund to reach $50,000, providing 250,000 meals for 23 counties & strengthening local food support. KWQC
- ➤ River Bend Food Bank will extend its holiday food pantry hours at NorthPark (Dec. 22 and 29, noon to 6 p.m.) and SouthPark Mall (Dec. 23 and 30, noon to 6 p.m.) ahead of Christmas and New Year, with regular hours resuming Monday, Jan. 5. Quad Cities Business Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ North Scott's Regional Innovation Center has received a $30,000 grant that will fund equipment and educational space upgrades for its Small Animal and Veterinary Assistant Program. The funding is expected to enhance hands-on learning for future veterinary assistants. The Dispatch Argus
- ➤ Twenty-two teams of students aged 9-14 competed at Putnam Museum in a robotics and coding challenge with an 'Unearthed' archaeology theme Saturday. The teams received medals plus five will advance to the state championship next year. KWQC
