- ➤ King’s Harvest Pet Rescue No Kill Shelter on Holden Drive named two six-month-old pit-mix puppies after local news personalities Kyle and Kate to boost adoption awareness as the shelter fills up, and it will host a volunteer-training event today to care for more animals. KWQC

- ➤ Eastern Iowa Community Colleges was honored with multiple awards during the Community Colleges for Iowa Annual Convention in Des Moines on Wed, Dec. 3. - ➤ Orion Technical College received ACCSC approval for new online certificate programs, including tech courses like HTML/CSS and JavaScript a few weeks ago at its Davenport campus. - ➤ The Pleasant Valley School Board approved a bid for a $4 million expansion of Pleasant View Elementary School from six proposals, and the selected construction team will soon begin work to enhance local learning spaces.
