- ➤ One Eighty organization is opening new affordable, sober housing in west Davenport to serve 18 people this summer — 14 will live in a renovated apartment at 915 Fillmore St. and 4 in a restored house at 626 Taylor St. The project was funded by a $606,636 grant and private donations — and will support graduates of its recovery program in rebuilding stable lives. - ➤ At 2 a.m. Monday, a car flipped on its side at the intersection of West 17th and Gaines Streets in Davenport with power lines down, and one person was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries—police are investigating the crash. KWQC

- ➤ A woman, her child and their dog escaped a house fire early Monday morning when smoke in the upstairs prompted her to call 911 and follow rescuers' advice to break a window—firefighters worked on the 1800 block of West 4th Street as officials investigated the cause. KWQC
