- ➤ Local small business leader Tiffany Fraley said the bipartisan Credit Card Competition Act would require banks to offer a second processing option—this change could save Iowa businesses up to $1,200 a year and lower hidden fees for shoppers. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Coram Deo Academy in Davenport has grown from 12 to over 180 students since opening in 2020 and plans to purchase the former AT&T Call Center at 5348 Elmore Ave to support growth toward 600 students. The school has launched a fundraiser to help raise $3.5 million and is working with the city to rezone the 75,000-square-foot building—plus 33 acres of land—before closing on the deal in late September. Main St. where it approved numerous personnel changes including new appointments, resignations, and a retirement (with dates ranging from Aug. 18 to Oct. 17).
