The Greater Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual gala and award celebration on Oct.

Davenport will vote next week on a pilot program that awards grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to food-related businesses on Rockingham Road—an area designated as an urban food desert.

The program uses $100,000 in American Rescue Plan interest funds to help struggling businesses invest in marketing and upgrades.

The Timm/Lange family donated new bleachers to the Riverdale Rams football team to honor coach Eric Lange—who died earlier this year in a crash—and to support local youth football.

The family will host a memorial clay shoot on October 25 to raise money for gear for underfunded players.
