If you've wondered about the new tree outside the in Moline, it has a story. This year's Eastern White Pine was donated by Todd and Sue Rosenthal of Moline. It came from the property of their late next-door neighbor, Rosalie Lashbrook, who died at 90 in 2023. The Rosenthals bought her property to fix up the house, and instead of shredding the tree, they gave it to the community.

The lights go on at the 2026 Lighting on the Commons on Sat., Nov. 21, at 6 p.m.
